The stairs

So, as you can see, the gates are up. Though it doesn't stop me from going up and down still, if I wanted to. There are too many stairs, and only 1 gate! Daddy let me climb up two whole flights of stairs yesterday, and I only stopped for one rest. He didn't even have to be there, I didn't even look like I was falling - not even close - but he kept following me. Maybe he likes climbing stairs too?
On another expedition of stair climbing, I wanted to turn around to go back down but mummy wouldn't let me, she kept saying "no Sophia, do it like this", and she kept turning me back around. It was most confusing, as if she turns me around, i just start climbing again, but there were no more steps to go up? I don't think she understood that?

My top ten things ..

That I like to do (not in any order mind ...)

1. Put both my fists in people's mouths and check out all their teeth.
2. Pick up my own food with my own hands and examine it in both hands, between ALL my fingers, inside out, back to front, squish it altogether and then stick it in my mouth.
3. Inspect all my friends' bags in the nursery. I like to take them down off the hook, and take everything out of their bags to make sure that there is nothing naughty hidden in the bag. I like to start from one end, and slowly make my way to the end of the hooks.
4. Open mummy's bottom drawer, and take everything out! VERY FAST- as I usually have limited time to do this!
5. Shake the gates to the sleeping room at the nursery and laugh and laugh at all the babies trying to sleep.
6. When I am suppose to be sleeping at nursery, I like to stand up and take down all the paper stuck on the board above the bed and rip it to tiny little shreds. Hee hee hee. That will teach them for putting me to sleep.
7. Roll and wriggle and wriggle and try to crawl away when mummy or daddy are trying to put my nappy on.
8. Turn the page of the book that mummy or daddy is reading to me before they've finished reading that page.
9. Change the channel (or switch the tv off) on the remote control at the most inopportune moment, like a critical moment of a sporting match that daddy is watching.
10. Play with mummy's belly button. She tries to hide it from me, but I know where it is (under her shirt), so I lift up her shirt and put my finger in her belly button and wriggle!

Some stories from Nursery

I thought I'd share with you some of the comments I get from nursery. The nice ladies write a little blurb for mummy and daddy as they don't see what I get up to during the day, and believe me, I get up to A LOT!! Since I can't type, mummy is going to help me out here, she said she's just going to pick out a few bits only (like you don't need to know about my bowel habits or what I eat or when I sleep etc)

23 Feb 2006
"..Sophia has got a boyfriend .. every morning when Dylan comes in she always crawls towards him to greet with him with a big smile, and she only does it to him."

14 Feb 2006
"Sophia has become very confident on climbing the climbing frame and trying to go down the slide. She also has this thing of trying to take other children's dummy. She follows them around until she gets her hands on their dummy. As usual Sophia does not really sleep for long and has not done so today .."

09 Feb 2006
"Sophia enjoys making plenty of mess, we had paints out today and Sophia liked putting her hands in the paint and rubbing the paint everywhere"

07 Feb 2006
"Today Sophia has been climbing on the climbing frame and getting half way to the top, then cries to be taken down. Today we had spaghetti play with coloured balls and all Sophia wanted to do was eat the spaghetti"

03 Feb 2006
".she's been crawling everywhere and we can't stop her going anywhere anymore. During lunch times, Sophia sits at the table and tries to grab all the other children's plates and food. We are still struggling with sleep..."

30 Jan 2006
"Today Sophia enjoyed playing with the water and sand play, but she mainly enjoyed splashing the water and getting her friends wet but they were laughing and thought she was very funny. She then went to play on the nursery baby gym climbing up the steps and getting stuck because she does not know which way is down"

26 Jan 2006
"Sophia has had a good day and she loved climbing up the slide, pushing away the older children. Cheeky."

A day in the life ...

I wake up around 7am. This is me having breakfast (3/4 of a weetabix) with daddy, he's meant to be feeding me, but as usual, he is mucking around. And they blame me when I don't finish my breakky!

I have a mid morning sleep at around 9am, on a good day, I sleep for two hours! Then we all go out for lunch or shopping - I steal a few extra naps in my bugaboo also! We tend to return home at around 2, so I can have another nap - usually for an hour. I sleep extra on the weekends as I don't like to sleep at nursery - too much going on.

I don't like being all bundled up in my bugaboo. Mummy and daddy put too many clothes on so I can't move my arms! I don't like having a hat on nor my mitts, so here I am below not looking too happy - who can blame me? I can't suck my thumb when they're in mitts, can I? We're just returning home from the park - I had a great time on the swings, and watching the other children running around, and I really don't want to go home yet!
Daddy and I playing before dinner - I am getting quite good at this walking thing!
Flying! Woo hoo! This is just before my bath time. I normally get a few stories before bath time. But as you can see, daddy is playing with me - I love to play with my daddy!

At around 6pm, I go into the bathroom and get ready for bath, firstly I have a bit of "rudie nudie" time - which involves me playing in the nudie. Sorry no pics, daddy said no pics of nudie me because of paedophiles. I have a little play in the nudie for about 10 minutes, then into the bath. I get a massage with my "products" after bath, get dressed, brush my hair then have a delicious warm bottle of milk. I tend to guzzle that one down - very hungry after all that nudie playing. Mummy or daddy will then read me a bedtime story (sometimes I like to tell them my own version and talk over them - mummy thinks my versions are quite funny, she doesn't know I know, but I know she is laughing), brush my 4 teeth and that's it! Off to sleep, lights out, see ya later!
