Week beginning 27th Jan

I am starting a new trend this week. I've decided to do away with cutlery, using hands to eat is where it is at!! I don't think mummy and daddy are too impressed with me, especially when they finally realised I did not want to eat anything unless I picked it up, inspected it and put it into my mouth ALL BY MYSELF. Yes, it took them awhile to work it out! Mummy put a mat under my chair - aunty Fiona gave it to her, lucky for aunty fiona!! Daddy thinks that I now eat slower than my aunty kara, maybe we will have a race when I am back home. (my excuse is that I only have 3.5 teeth).
So, I've been getting into trouble at nursery again. I've been dobbed in! Peggy (my main care-worker) told mummy that I have been pushing the other babies to get my own way ... it's about the third time that Peggy's dobbed me in about this! I am most annoyed, because mummy is now worried that I am turning into a hooligan (that's what she told Peggy). Anyway, good news is that Peggy said that I am only picking on the older babies, not the ones smaller than me!

Week beginning 16th Jan

So, this is me sitting on mummy and daddy's bed in the early hours of the morning (I usually get up at 7am, but sometimes I like to mix things up a bit, catch them unawares and say, get up at 6:30am) - I am in my PJ's waiting for daddy to change my nappy (yuk - I've been sitting in it for 12hours already, I wish he'd hurry up!) , then give me my breakfast milk - boy I'm starving! I am playing with daddy's mobile phone - it's contraband!
Today was a bit of an eventful day. First, under Daddy's care, I fell off the bed. I was just having a muck about on the bed in the morning, and the next thing I knew, I was on the floor. I think I landed on my head, but maybe a bit on my shoulders - lucky I have a lot of padding there. Daddy forgot that I am most mobile these days! Then the nursery lady told mummy that during the day, I'd been pushing the other babies out of the way in an effort to get what I want - but hey, you got to do what you gotta do! I'm at home here, mummy's getting out of her work clothes - I am just waiting for my bath.
oops, hello! Mummy discovered me crawling out.
S'okay, just give her one of my adorable grins and it'lll be all ok. She won't mind!
Heh, heh, makin' a break for it.. off I go! Woo hoo!! I shake my little tush ..

So I had a lovely weekend, I think any weekend is lovely because I get to catch up on my sleep - I don't like sleeping at nursery, there's just too many things going on and I don't want to miss any of it. I mean, what if because I was sleeping, someone takes over the pop up toy I was playing with or the ladies introduce a new game or something?? Of course the weekend is great as I get mummy and daddy's undivided attention! They took me to breakfast at Giraffe on Saturday and I met a new friend called Jessica (she lives down the road from us). I lke it there as mummy always shares her food with me. We were suppose to go to yum cha as per normal on Sunday but daddy was not feeling well so we didn't get to go. I love going to yum cha - I am quite a hit there, all the waiters and waitresses there greet me by my name and they like to hug me. I also get char siu pau to eat, which I love! Then I tend to have a little sleep in my bugaboo on the way home.
Mummy told daddy that he got sick because of me! Can you imagine that?! Apparently it's because I like to put my hands in their mouth. First you use one hand to keep mouth open, then you shove your other fist in there really quickly before they realise it, and then check out their dental work. Try this game at home, it's great fun! Hours of entertainment! I do this to everyone!
I tried some new food this weekend - "take-away", it comes in a little jar . Mummy and daddy are going on about hoping that I like it as this is what I will be getting on the plane and when I am home in Sydney for our holidays. Daddy made a comment about how if I didn't like it, all I will get is apple and pear or apple and blueberry dessert, which is fine by me as they're my favourites! I think they're worried that I will make a fuss on the plane. They really have no idea!
I found out that I have two new friends to play with when I get home to Sydney called Matisse Ruby McEwan Asher and Zara Kate Trovato - welcome to the world guys! Congratulations to your mummy and daddy - from my experience, you are going to be very loved and spoilt! I hope you don't keep them up too much at night! Mummy, daddy and I look forward to meeting you both and I will give you both hugs when I am home - hugs are my specialty.

Mucking about at home

Oh it's such an effort to stand, my hair's all mussed up, my knees are crumbling at the weight of my tummy .. it's not my best look but the pressure to keep up with the other babies my age!!!

Then this new toy rolls forward, what am I suppose to do, best to sit and let mummy and daddy sort it out.

What?! One second please, I am packing my handbag that my great grandmother gave me for Christmas. My mummy says that I can have my own credit cards soon (though daddy didn't seem to like this suggestion - not sure what the problem would be).

OK daddy, ready ready ready! Let's go shopping, my handbag's all packed and mummy and I are ready to go spending! C'mon daddy, put down the remote control! Surely the cricket's over already??

Sophia's first Christmas

I was 9 months old on Christmas Eve. The day before Christmas Eve, my mummy and daddy took me to visit my paeditrician who gave me a jab (I was quite brave, hardly any tears at all, would you believe?) and weighed me (9kgs) and measured me (72cm). He had some great toys in his surgery - I also enjoyed pulling his stethoscope and his tie! I like ties.

Right, let's see what is in this bag??

Hey, hey! This is more like it! Woo hoo, this is me on Christmas Day 05, surrounded by presents! I must say, I did like the cards and the ribbons, I thought that they were quite tasty! I had a lovely Christmas day as my uncle Chris and aunty Jess came to London from New York to pay me a special visit! (and they always bring presents!)

Here I am with Santa Claus .. he didn't scare me at all. He was not as generous as the Santa that came to visit my house! Phowar! But hey, a present is a present! (ps he gave me a stuffed penguin)

November 2005 - supermodel me

This is me in a dress my aunty Kara knitted me. I am well chuffed with it!

My aunty Fiona obviously thinks I am incredibly gorgeous cos she took loads of photos of me. She also gave me a wand and some wings. I don't think she realised this, but the wings doesn't work. She put it on me and I was not able to fly anywhere. Still the wand was very tasty.
